I had my first interview for electrified powertrain development engineer, which was a 30mins call. It was a smooth interview, I was asked about my previous experience and what i know about the job profile. I was also asked some technical based questions on BEV, its components and working.

Stage 1 - Normal 30min phone call. Involved questions like - Inverter, transmission, Why AVL Stage 2 - During this stage of the interview process, I was tasked with delivering a presentation on a topic relevant to the job role, as well as drawing from my past experiences or academic background. I chose to discuss a subject connected to my previous role, which was tangentially related to the job description but incorporated aspects of powertrain development in the latter part of my project. The interview was conducted by two individuals with technical backgrounds. One of them, a senior engineer responsible for the process, appeared to display minimal interest in the presentation. It's possible that the topic didn't resonate with him, or he might have believed it lacked relevance. Throughout the presentation, he repeatedly exhibited signs of disinterest, such as yawning, which could be disheartening for some individuals. In contrast, the second interviewer recognized this and endeavored to compensate by displaying additional engagement. While this behavior didn't personally affect me, it's worth noting that such conduct might significantly demoralize others. As a recommendation, it's advisable to be meticulous when selecting the presentation topic. It was evident to me from his behavior that I might not secure the job at that very moment, yet I maintained my professionalism and continued with the presentation. It's regrettable that individuals in senior positions sometimes exhibit such behavior.
