After waiting for the rest of the group to arrive for the interview, the manager had us sit on the counter of one of the registers to answer our questions. Because I was sitting on a counter in the middle of the store I got a pretty casual vibe from the interviewer, but it turned out to be way too casual. There were four of us there: 2 applying for the Model position and 2 applying for Part-Time Impact. The Model applicants got asked questions like "Describe A&F's style" and then I was asked questions that were way more in-depth which got awkward when answering because the boy after me repeated a lot of what I said, taking away the originality I thought I had in my answers. The problem was the the music was so loud I could hardly think and I had to project my voice extremely loud. Not to mention our interviewer looked up maybe once from writing down our answers in detail on her clipboard. It seemed like she wasn't really paying attention to how confident or personable I was but just scribbling down answers, which was disappointing because I felt very prepared. I got the impression that she just wasn't interested in hiring any of us, and while I am not sure of the others' outcome, I did not get a call back. I can't say I am too disappointed.
