      Colloquio

I applied on the 15th March and two weeks later as the job had closed on Indeed I saw it was now been added on their website so I sent an email to ask if they were now handling applications directly. I then recieved an email back saying they were currently looking through all applications from both their website and the Indeed job post from the person overseeing recruitment. Just over a week later I received a direct message via Indeed inviting me to a screening call for the job which was a pleasent surprise as the recruiter for this role told me that they hadn't had a chance to personally look at my application when I initially had sent them an email enquiring about next steps. The screening call took place on 8th April and lasted 15 minutes. Throughout the call i provided examples of my marketing experience and made sure it aligned with the role requirements. At the end of the call I was told that the next stage would be a Microsoft Teams call and this would be 30 minutes and be more involved as it was offically the first stage interview. After not hearing anything following on from my screening call I sent the recruiter a message just to get an update and a few days later they came back and invited me to a first stage interview which I was really pleased about because this was a job I felt I could do and was interested in their product along with the industries they worked in. on 22nd April the interview took place and as we entered a few technical difficulties the recruiter decided to call me on the phone rather than via Microsoft Teams. Similar to the first screening call I had, the interview went well and I felt there was a positive rapport between myself and the recruiter. The interview also ran over by nearly 10 minutes and at the end I was told that the fiinal stage would be with the hiring manager and if the candidates were all of high calibre then it may be taken to a 3rd stage which would involve a presentation. After not hearing anything for over a week I sent an email to the recruiter for an update this morning at 10:44am it wasn't until after 5 that I received an email telling me that I wasn't being taken through to the last round of interviews. This decision was made by the hiring manager and recruiter who felt despite my experience in digital marketing, content creation and brand management they were looking for somone with specific B2B global integration experience who work towards commercial business goals. Had I not sent an email asking for an update I'm sure I would have been left in limbo until they made a decision or offered the role to someone else. Despite my enthusiasm, research into the organisation and marketing experience it made no difference.
