I had a positive interview with the Director of Account Executives, followed by a second interview with the Chief Revenue Officer. At the conclusion of the second interview, the Chief Revenue Officer mentioned that the Director of AE's would reach out to me regarding the next steps in the process, and that this would likely occur within a week. However, after 3.5 weeks, I followed up with the Director for an update on the next steps but did not receive a response. While I understand if the decision was made to move forward with another candidate, I believe it is important and professional to maintain communication with candidates, particularly when they have been informed they would be progressing in the process. Clear communication, even to inform candidates that the process has concluded, would have been greatly appreciated and is a standard practice.
