I applied online once I found the job posting on Idealist. The application itself included both short and long questions. About two weeks later, someone reached out to me to set up a phone interview. It went great! The initial email was very welcoming and the interviewer was very warm and eager to get to know to me. This set up the interview for success. Shortly after, my interviewer passed along my information to the Director of School Operations and the second phone interview was set up. Similarly, this one was also very warm and I became even more excited for the position. The DSO's enthusiasm for the team, school, and position was genuine and made me feel that this was a great opportunity. Later that day I was given two assignments to complete and asked to provide photos of my personal organization system. These assignments challenged my skills and pushed me to go beyond what I already knew at that point. Although I didn't feel the most confident with my product, I was given strong and thorough feedback, and given a second chance to deliver a reworked product. This convinced me that I wanted this job! Being given that kind of feedback let me know my work was given careful attention. Afterwards, I had my last round interview with the two other team members. We got to know each other personally and professionally. This last of interview really painted the complete picture of what the job would be, the school, and Achievement First.
