I was contacted by one of their designers and had applied online. Had an initial phone screen first and then several more interviews includes: 1. A portfolio review 2. A design challenge 3. HR phone screen 4. Design challenge review 5. An 8 hours long on-site interview in Mountain View, includes a presentation, lunchbreak, on-site design challenge and challenge critique 6. A 1.5 hours long on-site interview in NYC Well, it looks like a lot of interviews and it sure was. Through out the process, most of the people I met was pretty nice and the feedbacks were positive. It's just in the last on-site interview in NYC one of the guys, who I think is a product manager there, was using his phone most of the time during the interview which made me feel weird. After the round of interview, I received a no hire letter from their HR. It was of course kind of disappointing not getting an offer but what really annoys me is that they refuse to give any feedback. I mean with over 5 interviews throughout 2 months of time period, I think the least you can tell me is why I'm not getting this job. But apparently it is "against their policy" and all they can say is they encourage me to re-apply in the future.
