      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 6 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Adecco (Rosehill, New South Wales) nel mese di gen 2019

      Colloquio

Applied online early January, after my application was deemed acceptable I booked into a group interview for late January. Then I was sent an email with "the opportunity to enhance your skills. An online training session..." which after logging in sounded suspiciously like a compulsory test, so I emailed the address at the bottom of the email (which it explicitly said to contact if you had any questions) and received an error in response at it was an unmanned address. So I ended up calling the number at the bottom (in QLD) and was informed it was a compulsory test to be completed by the deadline, and not a chance to enhance skills like the email stated. The group interview was very low key, there were about 22 applicants in attendance and after providing ID and being photograghed we listened to a presentation on the role (locations, hours, conditions, expected dates, etc.), introduced ourselves, then worked in small groups on a logic puzzle. I asked one of the staff a question afterwards and she was very helpful. The next week I received an email congratulating me and saying I would be sent a link to onboarding (providing TFN, super details, etc.) within 48 business hours, and if I didn't receive the link within 48 hours to contact them (slightly confusing, but assumed the "business" in 48 "business" hours was an error). 14 days, 3 emails and 3 phone calls (with a variety of different information) later I received the onboarding link. The actual interview process was simple and straightforward and almost a positive experience, but as a whole the hiring process was incredibly painful and really poorly done. Adecco Australia was clearly not prepared to deal with recruitment on this scale and the quantity of unclear and misinformation throughout the hiring process was proof of it.
