      Colloquio

I'm not sure if this was a scam or just weird. Someone from HR with an advancedmd.team email reached out to me with a flyer for a remote executive assistant role. I'm not sure how they found me, but I was actively job searching for an executive assistant position, so it wasn't that weird. That HR person had me create a Microsoft Teams account and reach out to another HR person. We set up a time to talk, but that "interview" was to take place via Teams messenger, which I thought was a little odd. She ended up getting the day wrong, so she reached out to start the interview a day early, and I had to correct her. When the actual interview time came, she messaged me some typical interview questions that I answered. At the end she said that someone would follow up. It felt like a typical interview, no odd or personal questions, it was just via chat. Someone else followed up by phone and we set up a follow up interview which took place over the phone. He also got the first time wrong and we had to reschedule. The interview was brief, only a few questions, but again, they were normal interview questions. At the end of the call, he shared that there were two finalists (I was one) and that I'd be hearing from him next week, and we set up a time to call. He again missed that time, so I reached out to check in, and he called me soon after to offer the job. He then told me that I had to message the woman that did my interview on Teams. Once I did, she had me confirm my contact information and address (this is information that's on my resume so I didn't think it was weird). She then said that an offer letter would come via email. I got that email soon after, from a different person, and that person said that I had 24 hours to accept the offer. The woman on Teams said that my team lead would be reaching out. My team lead messaged me on on Teams, and that went on for over two hours. She provided a lot of information about what I'd be doing and my onboarding, yet the information was pretty vague. She also contradicted what my offer letter said a few times, especially the benefits. She explained how I'd get my equipment, which would be them sending a check and I would buy it myself. With everything, I felt weird about accepting the job, especially because I only had one phone call. It was a lot of people and information but it felt rushed and something was off. I also never met the person that this job was supposed to be supporting. I called their main number and asked to speak to one of the people that I talked to during the interview process, so that I could confirm my offer. I supposedly left a voicemail for them, but I never heard back. I ended up calling twice more and supposedly left a message for a different person I spoke to and I asked to be directed to their HR and recruiting so I left a message on that voicemail too. I never heard back from either of those voicemails either. 24 hours past and I didn't accept the job, and I never heard from any of the people that I "talked to" through email, text, phone, or Teams. Everyone that emailed me or messaged me on Teams had a advancedMD.team email. Everyone that I "spoke to" also had a LinkedIn profile; I actually requested to connect with two of the people on LinkedIn and the requests are still pending. Even if it wasn't a scam, it was an odd and impersonal process.
