The interview process is a meeting with Centracare administrators with the medical director being one of them.
You will not be told about the mandatory backup days unless you know about this policy and ask specifically about it. They will say the healthcare is free, it isnt. They will not tell you how many shifts you will work, they just say full time and you will get paid for any hours over this. They wont tell you it is at a base pay rate unless asked. They will tell you you have another provider working with you, but wont tell you that that is for certain clinics and you may very well see 45-50 patients a day on a weekend shift of 9 hours as a sole provider. They wont tell you you will likely leave more often than not late from work. They tell you the doors lock at 8pm, but dont mention that that doesn't always happen as the staff responsible for locking the doors cant because they are too busy checking in the 3, 4 or 5 patients that came in at the last 5 minutes of operating hours which allows more people to walk in after 8pm that cant be turned away because they made it through the doors despite being after closing hours. There is so much more, but there isnt enough time to go over what they dont disclose to you during the interview process

Straightforward, however there were multiple middle managers and admin, very little physician involvement in interview which is not the standard process I have had elsewhere. One of my first interviews the recruiter was 20 minutes late. Seems to be a very corporate and admin heavy company. Did not seem to care much about quality, growth, leadership of physicians, you will only be a follower and not have decision making capabililty here. Was not very impressed with recruiting and on site scheduling, very poor recruiting communication, last minute slip ups and inconsistency. Recruiters from different areas in the company email even when already in the interview process. This is not a good look as a first impression. Little to no physician involvement in recruiting decisions. Low market rate and noncompetive compensation. Managment at interview were off putting and did not seem to understand the needs of a physician. Did not really sell the position well. I would not have taken the position if offered although I am relocating to a nearby area with a competitor who provided an excellent experience. I think they will have alot of difficulty recruiting when there is ample competition in this market.
