I was contacted by a recruiter about a week after submitting my application online, I then had a Teams call with the hiring manager the following week. The interview went well with no surprise questions or stupid STAR format, just a chat about my background and the position. The hiring manager stated I would be receiving an invite to come to FL to meet the team (I live in another state). I was also asked to provide some work samples. It took a while, but I was scheduled for an onsite visit the following month. On the day of the interview, I met with two groups of two team members each, one group of two executives, and another meeting with the hiring manager. I also had a tour of the corporate campus. I prepped HARD for this onsite visit and was pleasantly surprised with how informal and friendly the process turned out to be. We talked about the team's work, goals, the corporation, and how my experience ties in. Everyone was welcoming and open. It's one of the few times I've actually enjoyed interviewing for a job. I felt quite confident about my interview was told that I would hear back the following week. A fun not-so-positive fact: my return flight that evening was cancelled and I had to stay an additional night on my own dime. I also caught COVID. I didn't receive any calls or emails the next week (uh oh) , but I did get a terse automated email the following week. "Thank you for applying for the [position] at AdventHealth. The position is now closed." It wasn't even the typical canned response of "Thanks so much for your time and interest but we liked someone else more than you blah blah blah." I was more annoyed about the unprofessional email than I was about not getting the job.

The initial process was great! I got a response within a couple days of applying and had the initial interview scheduled. I was moved along in the process and had my 2nd interview set up for the following week. I got an email telling me that they made someone an offer and cancelled all interviews.
