Colloquio per Senior Software Engineer UI

      30 giu 2019
      Candidato anonimo a colloquio
      Mountain View, CA
      Nessuna offerta
      Esperienza negativa

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un'agenzia di reclutamento personale. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Aerospike (Mountain View, CA) nel mese di apr 2019

      Colloquio

Staffing HR called about the company detail and mentioned like you will be working for Google or Apple like company but just a random startup with a very few heads I saw in Mountain View office. The area even does just like any small random market place. Hiring Manager's called to talk about my profile etc and invited me to onsite. He was exactly wanted what my profile and experiences were. I reached for the onsite interview and could not find how a way to enter into the building as that gate requires access card and there was no information provided who will escort into the office and which entrance to use. They didn't provide any phone number to contact etc. I waited for 10-15 mins and then sent an email to the hiring manager that I'm waiting and then he sent an engineer to escort me into the office. The panel was confirmed but when I got into the office they were confused who would first take my interview. So the Architect started. He was so much into explaining what they breakthrough and build into the product and so so so much detail. Then, 3 engineers, one after another engineer comes in to take my interview. They were kind of lost and didn't know what to ask and most of them could not follow my code as I was writing code in C++ and they didn't know it and asked me to write code in my choice of language. Finally hiring manager comes in when he entered he was like I'm very hungry and would like to have something and then he asked or do you want to go for lunch or shall finish the interview asked. I was having another interview planned on the same day and lunch was not in my plan as there was a very little window for me to rust for another interview. I said I will like to finish the interview first and I have another meeting planned just after this. He started the interview and suddenly I realized that technology stack they use is completely different than the experiences I have. In fact, they don't have any technology stack they write 1970 tech stack either it's front or code product written in C and found that he was sounding completely opposite with my last talk over the phone. I realized he is not interested and was asking questions to time pass. He also mentioned that every single one he has interviewed so far requires H1b transfer and he didn't get the chance to interview a person like him born and brought up in Califonia. It gave me an alarm about his hiring preferences. He was one the worst interviewer or hiring manager or fraud (who will waste your time and energy) so far I have come across in my 16 years of work experience. HR finally gave her decision that they don't think tech stack is a right fit. I really wonder how this kind of company can survive in the heart of silicon valley with this kind of managers at least who know nothing what they want and what their vision is and kind of lost all the time. Thanks to God that they didn't offer as I got an offer from a software company which comes in world top 20 companies.
