I applied online and was set up for an onsite interview. In the email, it said I will be meeting with the manager/CEO (can't remember which, since the interview was a year ago), but was greeted by an administrative assistant who said the manager wasn't there and we would have to come back another day to meet him. The girl was high-energy, but spent most of her time talking instead of listening. Also, there was one other girl who was interviewing. Overall, it wasn't really an interview since it was an unpaid internship. During the interview, the girl even tried to sell us to become an Insurance Agent, which clearly shows that she didn't listen to what our career goals were. The job advertisement they posted for this position sounded very attractive and it seemed like you'll gain a lot of experience from it. During the interview, the girl informed us that it will be mainly focused on recruiting, calling people and that it will be similar to sales. She also said they'll give us a script. They gave me the impression that they use interns to do the extra work. There was no mention of any training, learning, or benefit for the student involved. If you want the experience on your resume, then go ahead. Otherwise, the interviewer came unplanned, unorganized, didn't know how to conduct an interview, and spoke 80% of the time. I'm pretty sure they accept anyone who come through the door since it's unpaid anyway and they have nothing to lose. I didn't accept the offer as I lived too far. Normally, a good recruiter/interviewer will make sure the commute is doable, but they didn't care.
