A couple days later did a phone interview asking some general behavioural questions, a week later did a language test over the phone in two different languages. Few weeks later had an in person interview, then waited about two-three months before got offered the job

Many stages. From initial application there was a telephone interview, language tests, and an in-person interview before the job offer was presented. The interview questions were largely situational to try to gauge how you would react in certain situations.
