The first contact is after 2 months of applying, the original job description listed 3 months ago isn't listing the position as an entry level nor the amount of work needed.
Only after the 3rd interview do they inform you that you'll need to work more hours than expected and on your weekends as well with an extremely low pay for all that hassle.
Also, they inform you that you'll not be getting a promotion for 3 years because you are expected to do that amount of work for 3 years which is inhumane.
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Air Liquide (Lisbona, Lisbona) nel mese di feb 2026
Colloquio
I was interviewed for a position in the account department. During the call, the recruiter was from spain , very positive about my profile, shared role and responsibilities , joining date , project and confirming the hiring manager's availability for a second round the very next day. I was told I would receive a confirmation email by the end of that same day. That email never arrived. They do not answer on calls. Not reply on emails.
The Timeline: Day 1: Recruiter promises a same-day response. Silence. Day 2: I followed up and no reply. No reply on calls and emails too
Week 2: I sent another follow-up email after giving them a reasonable grace period.
Current Status: Total silence.
Interestingly, my status in the Applicant Tracking System still shows as "application under consideration."
It is unprofessional to set specific expectations for next steps and then vanish. A simple "we decided to move forward with another candidate" or "the process is on hold" is much more respected than ghosting. This behavior damages your employer brand and suggests that recruitment is more about hitting interview KPIs than finding and respecting talent. Ghosting candidates is worse experience.
