Colloquio
It was a quick process.
First a call interview with HR who was super nice. She seemed to be very interested in my profile and always very kind. After that I had an interview with the head developer who also was super friendly and happy. This interview was to find a bit more of what I do in terms of technology and how I work, nothing technical.
Then I received a email from HR saying that they were happy to go further and meet me with the team and see the offices.
I asked her what the interview was gonna be, if I needed to prepare something and she replied me saying I didn't need to prepare nothing - It was not going to be a technical interview just a review of my profile with the CTO and FullStack dev.
I went to the offices which were super nice, I really loved them. I started my interview with the FullStack developer who also was incredibly sweet and nice. We were talking about what I do, I showed her my projects and my code, my plans of future, what I love about what I do, etc... She looked very impressed with me, we were even laughing together, just like having a coffee with a friend.
Then I had the interview with the CTO. Unlike the others, this guy was super serious from the beginning which made me feel not as well as in the others interviews. He asked me about my profile and suddenly he started to ask me technical questions... I didn't expect that whatsoever so my mind went blank.
He started to ask me technical questions jumping between the different roles I had in my profile (Javascript, ReactJs, Java...) and I couldn't reply very well because I did not expect that kind of interview at all. The HR girl told me it was not going to be technical so I felt so paralysed... At one point even asked me: 'Didn't you say you have a computer science degree? It doesn't seem so...' which made me fell soooo uncomfortable that made me wanna end the interview ASAP. I was feeling super bad.
The questions were not so difficult compared with other interviews I've had but was the way he behaved what made me feel like that.
I'm totally fine with technical interviews, in fact all my past interviews where all technicals but I was advised before so I did know what I was going to. Airsorted told me the completely oposite and that's something that leaves much to be desired...
