      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Akamai (Tel Aviv) nel mese di mar 2024

      Colloquio

My experience with Akamai's hiring process was nothing short of frustrating and disrespectful. Initially, I was optimistic after a great first interview where I felt a strong connection with the team. However, any excitement quickly turned to disappointment as the process unfolded. Firstly, they took a staggering three weeks to evaluate whether they had the budget for the role. This delay alone should have been a red flag for their organizational inefficiency. During the interviews, I was blindsided by the hypothetical scenario posed about interacting with specific individuals, reflecting the apparent friction between high-level managers within the company. The question seemed designed to gauge how I would navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and conflicting opinions among leadership. While I understand the importance of diplomacy and tact in such situations, it was disconcerting to be confronted with the company's internal discord during the interview process. It raised concerns about the company culture and the potential challenges I might face if hired. This question further underscored the lack of cohesion and alignment within Akamai's leadership, adding another layer of uncertainty to an already tumultuous hiring experience. Then came the kicker - they handed me a colossal assignment over a weekend, expecting me to complete it in just two days. This task was akin to a full-time job, requiring detailed planning for events spanning a quarter, including KPIs and communication strategies. It was an absurd demand, especially given the short timeframe. To compound matters, they changed the role description, responsibilities, and title without providing any coherent explanation. This lack of clarity left me bewildered and questioning their professionalism. Despite enduring these hurdles and being invited for final physical interviews, my hopes were dashed when they immediately cited budget concerns. Why waste my time with further interviews if they already knew I was above their budget? The final blow came when I sought feedback after being rejected. The hiring manager read my message but couldn't even bother to respond. In summary, Akamai's hiring process is riddled with disorganization, disrespect, and a lack of consideration for candidates. I would strongly advise against anyone investing their time and energy into a company that treats potential employees with such disregard. Avoid Akamai if you value a fair and respectful hiring process.
