I went through 3 phone interviews: 1 phone screening, then two phone interviews with managers. Two weeks later, I made it to the next round of interviews which was a set of five back to back interviews, each 30-minutes long via Google video conference. In this interview I met with an employee in the position I was interviewing for, a software engineer, QA, a Manager and the final interview was with the department director. All of my interviews fairly well and the interview with the director I felt went really well. So well that she ensured I would hear back from her early next week. The following day a HR manager calls to tell me that I received great feedback from each interviewer and the director was really impressed. She congratulated me and said I'm going to send you the Aledade benefits package to review as I am a leading candidate. Typically, benefits packages are sent once you're hired so I only assumed I was being selected. Two weeks later I was informed someone with "more experience" has been selected. Why interview me eight times, give me the benefits to review, say I'm a leading candidate only to tell me I didn't get the job?
