My thorough research into the agency's portfolio left me genuinely excited about the prospect of contributing to a team dedicated to serving a diverse range of clients. Upon arrival, I was greeted and told to wait in a separate area for a few minutes before my interview. 10-15 employees walked past me and even sat at a table right beside me, but only one person acknowledged and said good morning to me. No one else bothered to even make eye contact or smile at me. I found this off-putting from the start and this experience only contributed to adding to my nerves. During the interview itself, I was met with what felt like a disinterested and impersonal demeanor from the interviewer, even stopping to look at her phone several times while I was speaking. Overall, I left the interview feeling disappointed and disheartened. The disparity between the agency's emphasis on hospitality and positivity, as portrayed on their website, and my in-person experience was stark. I had hoped for a warmer and more welcoming atmosphere that aligned with the agency's stated values.
