The first step in the interview process was completing a video interview through ‘Take the Interview’ in which I was asked basic questions about my understanding of AlphaSights’ work and why I was interested in working there. I was then contacted by a recruiter and had a brief phone interview. About a week later I had a short onsite interview with two current analysts who were very friendly and asked general questions about my background, skills, and experiences. I went back that same week for a second round, which involved preparing a case study to present to two interviewers and doing a couple of research-based case studies during the interview. The interviewers provided constructive feedback and I left with a really good idea of the work that I would be doing. The third round was a one-on-one interview with the head of the New York office, which was essentially a more in-depth version of the first round. I was asked questions about my background, interests, fit with the company, and how the position would fit with my ultimate career goals. The final round was similar, but held with the one of the co-founders of the company. The interviews were all relaxed and I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people from the office. Everyone I met was incredibly friendly, interesting, and enjoyable to speak with. I really liked the focus on determining whether the firm would be a good fit for my future goals because it seemed like the company also had my best interests in mind.
