It became clear that my experience far exceeded that of the newly hired manager, and the role itself did not match the original description. Additionally, for a role of this nature, the company offers no hybrid working options, requiring full-time office presence. The contract was for 40 hours a week with only a 30-minute break, which was not disclosed beforehand. The building itself was old, rundown, and quite basic, which contributed to an overall environment that didn’t feel like somewhere I would want to work every day. The workspace lacked the kind of atmosphere and facilities I would expect for a full-time office-based role.
