The first two stages of interview were great! I met the HR person handling the job posting and we had a great 30 minute chat on how my skills align with the job posting as well as what they are wanting. Then the next step I met the actual team I would be working with. It was great as the interview was very conversational and I got to learn a lot more about the inner workings of the position.
Then the final interview was with the department head. And as I get on the call in the center of their background was a picture of Trump after the attempted assassination with his fist raised. This was during election season, and anybody with a grain of common sense would know how tense elections are. This struck me as very tone deaf and not a place I would want to work at. On top of that he just talked and asked very little questions. It was very off putting.
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso AmTrust nel mese di set 2024
Colloquio
Had 7 interviews in about 3 weeks, being considered for multiple positions. Did a phone screen with the recruiter, then some hiring manager interviews (for the different positions), a peer interview and a skip level interview. The scheduling and interviews all went great with prompt responses and promises of a decision shortly and then.... crickets. I followed up after 2 weeks and the recruiter said there had been no decisions yet. That was about a month ago.
I understand if I wasn't ultimately selected, but putting me through that many interviews for 3 positions and completing the final round? I find myself pretty miffed that there was zero outreach to a final round candidate about what happened, even just to close the loop that I wasn't accepted.
