Robotic, condescending, unfriendly... First I spoke with a pre-screener who I provided with my extensive background and experience being an agent for a much larger P&C company well over 10 years. She advised me that I met their qualifications and that I would need to meet with 2 of their supervisors/managers and take a typing test. I took the typing test and met with 2 men. One seemed very nervous speaking in front of the other, so I am assuming the other was his boss. This person spent the majority of time explaining their commissions chart and the history of the company which I had already researched in preparation for this interview. The other asked a handful of sales tactic questions...building rapport with customers, overcoming objections, etc. which I've had many years of experience with. They provided me with a list of their agents and the number of sales each had for the month. I noticed the agents were mostly male with only about 2% (if that) being female. The interview seemed to go fine, but ended without even a handshake, thank you, or goodbye from the senior manager. Overall, the company culture seems cold, unfriendly, male-dominated, and definitely all about making the sale.
