Colloquio
You have to pass 4 different test before they will grant you an interview. Online psych test 100 questions. In office math test and video situations on customer service and remembering schedules and fares (50 questions each). Then a strength test at an outside facility.
Domande di colloquio [1]
Domanda 1
Ten basic "what did you do when" type questions based on customer service and safety.
Applied through Amtrak job posting and website. Was invited to take the online assessment which included customer service, safety and math evaluations. This assessment was timed and took about 120 minutes. After about a week or two I was contacted by local HR and asked to take a kinesiology test and then a face to face interview after confirming I passed the kinesiology assessment. At the face to face interview I was informed I was one of 7 finalists after 100 applicants.

Domanda 1
To describe a work situation where I had a disagreement with my boss and what did I do to get my view across.
Applied online in late October, I knew some people at Amtrak, and they gave me an edge on getting in (which I thought wasn't fair to other applicants). End of December I took the online personality, reading and math tests. About a week or so later they scheduled me for physical abilities test. I had an invitation to interview that same night and interviewed at the end of the week.
The interview is a panel of three people. They ask about relevant experience, why you chose Amtrak, and behavioral "tell me about a time when you..." questions.
In the end, they discussed what it would mean if you take the job and what they expect.
After the interview, I just didn't feel right about it, though I got an offer, I realized I wasn't committed or as eager to do it as I thought, a good life lesson anyway.
Are you fully committed to giving your life to Amtrak? Giving up holidays, time with friends, hobbies and sleep? Are you aware of the rough hours, conditions, situations you will have to deal with and commuted to deal with them timely and safely?
