Had 2 interviews. Everything was going well, until they offered me a different position that would not have been a great fit for my knowledge and experience. Plus half the salary

During my interview, the scheduled personnel from the team were not present, and the interviewers from other departments appeared disengaged. When I met with one of the managers, the conversation suggested the role might already be intended for an internal candidate (start off as a broker). Additionally, I did not receive any requested feedback after following up with HR regarding my interview. The entire process seemed like a formality.
