I think it would have been really helpful to have someone conducting the first email/chat who knows about the role so you can ask questions. I feel like my time was wasted and that the reason I didn’t get through to the third stage was because of something I had been honest about in my application. Just need to be a bit more mindful of peoples time and clearer about the role. An interesting experience. I wouldn’t apply again but I have the utmost respect for that the organisation does.

Applied and I was emailed pretty quickly about a first round of interviews with the operations/development assistant. Interviewed over the phone and I could tell immediately that for whatever reason, she did not like me. The interview was rushed, quick and felt like she couldn’t wait to end the conversation the entire time. I tried to ask a couple questions when she offered time for questions and was met with “I don’t know anything about these positions, you can try reading the job description” - then why even bother letting me ask questions? Said that a decision would be made, and that either way, I would be informed whether or not I’d be advancing. 8 weeks later, I followed up with them and received a rejection email 2 weeks later. I couldn’t help but feel as though I wasn’t given a fair chance.
