      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Anna Beck (Los Angeles, CA)

      Colloquio

It was a painfully slow interview process where I think I had to meet with every single person employed at Anna Beck. I was asked to do 4 interviews, 3 in person and 1 set of written interview questions where I basically repeated everything said in the 3 other interviews. It was to the point where it began to feel awkward and repetitive like no one was communicating with each other internally which is strange for a team of 4? maybe 5 people? In addition to the excessive and repetitive interviewing, I was also asked to do a design project which is as outdated a practice as unpaid internships; asking for work for free. But I went along with it all because after the 4th interview, I assumed I was going to get a job offer. I discussed it with other jewelry designer friends and everyone agreed that they would not put anyone through the rather excessive 4 interviews and NOT offer them the job. Well, guess what? They DIDN'T! After all those interviews and the free work design project, they sent me a rejection letter stating they were going with another candidate. About a week or so after they told me they hired someone else, the job listing reappeared. They did NOT hire someone else, they lied. They could have easily said I was not what they were looking for but they did not, they said they hired someone else, which they clearly did not. In the end, I am glad I was not chosen for the position because if their interview process is any reflection on what working there is like, then it is a dishonest, disorganized, NOT socially conscious company as they like to claim on their website. I would recommend other designers to steer clear of this company.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

Extremely repetitive questions. Ironically, they wanted to know how I would fit in with THEIR socially conscious culture. Which from the disastrous interview process, does not seem to exist at Anna Beck.
