      This application was for a role in Japan. Below is the interaction timeline: Mar 04, 2026, Applied Mar 13, 2026, Request to complete take home assignment Mar 19, 2026, Completed and submitted the assignment Apr 08, 2026, Anthropic recruiter sent a link to schedule an interview # For Apr and May, all available time slots were only # between 01:30 AM and 05:30 AM JST Apr 08, 2026, Asked the recruiter to make adjustment for Japan time zone Apr 10, 2026, Asked the recruiter to make adjustment for Japan time zone Apr 28, 2026, Asked the recruiter to make adjustment for Japan time zone All 3 requests for interview time adjustment were ignored and I declined the interview offer. Apparently, some Anthropic recruiters have lost touch with common humanity.

      The first step was a take home assignment. There were two questions that were similar to what a customer would ask in email communication with the support team. The third question asked about how you would handle a feature request either overtly requested by a customer, or uncovered during customer communication. We were warned not to use AI in answering the questions, but to search their knowledge base and answer in our own words. After the take home assignment was submitted, I was asked to schedule a Interview with the hiring manager. This came very quickly after submitting the take home assignment, so it seemed as if the assignment may have been evaluated by AI. It took a while to schedule the interview as there appeared to be an issue with the calendar. The interview was a short 25 minutes, where the hiring manager emphasized the importance of full circle support.
