A recruiter for the company initially reached out to me on LinkedIn to discuss the Sr. Manager, Customer Marketing Programs position. Prior to my first interview, I did some research on the company which included Glassdoor reviews. Most of what I read was extremely positive which was really important to me as I wanted to find a positive culture fit for the next step in my career. From my initial interview with the recruiter, I then met with the hiring manager and from there, met other members of the AppFolio team for a third round. I have to say, every single person that I met with was so genuine and kind which confirmed my excitement for the potential of joining such a great team. Along the entire process, the recruiter kept in constant touch with me informing me of any updates regarding next steps or where the team was at with a decision. At that time, the recruiter also informed me that after learning more about my background and skills, the team discovered there was a need for a new position to be created which was Growth Marketing Manager. She gave me an in-depth description of what the team felt the position would entail and let me know they wanted to make an offer and if I would still be interested considering the new position details. I was beyond honored that they recognized my strengths and background and made room for me with a brand new role on their team! I gladly agreed and was presented an offer which I then accepted. Even if I had not been offered a position with the company, I can say that this has been one of the best interview experiences I have had. I really appreciated the open line of communication and transparency through the entire process. I am very happy to have been given this opportunity and look forward to being a part of the AppFolio team!
