Was referred by current employee so went through accelerated hiring process. Started with basic phone screen (behavioral/fit), then was invited to NYC offices for "blitz day" - 4 back to back interviews, 1 case. 3 behavioral interviews were fairly straight forward and each were with 1-2 different team members. Case was kind of strange and seemed like it would be ineffective at measuring any kind of business acumen. No breaks for lunch which made sitting in a conference room for 4.5 hours a bit exhausting

Colloquio
After I submitted my application documents, I was invited for a telephone interview about 2 weeks later.
The interview took place with one of the hiring managers from the Hamburg office. Content of the interview were my previous experiences as well as my approach of solving problems. I also received a lot of information about the job requirements as well as the company itself.
After the telephone interview, I received positive feedback on the same day and was invited to following personal interviews in the office.
The interviews consisted of 4 different 45min interviews with 4 AppNexus employees. Each interview had a different competency focus and the interaction was always friendly and open.
The questions were demanding but never unfair.
The conversations were a mix of behavioural, personal and technical questions in combination with small case studies. At the end of each interview I was given enough time to ask questions myself.
Overall I had the impression that the interest of the interviewers really was to get a comprehensive impression of my personality and abilities.
I reveived positive feedback 2 days after the interviews.
The following communication with HR in New York and London regarding conditions and the contract offer was also smooth and very fast.
Overall it was a very exemplary and transparent application process.
