Took many weeks with an average of 1-2 phone/video interviews per week. During the 8 weeks I was undergoing "extreme vetting", there were several breakdowns in communication. There was never a sense that Appirio "wanted" me and would do what it took to entice me to join them; it was more of me having to prove that I was "worthy" of their attention. Nevertheless, despite round after round of positive feedback, in the end it seemed that Appirio wants its candidates to put all their eggs in one basket: get an offer from another company, and they immediately remove you from consideration for the role. Sorry, but if you're going to take multiple weeks to vet a candidate, you run the risk that they'll get picked up by another company that has a more efficient, effective interviewing process. "Extreme vetting" in this case resulted in an otherwise strong candidate going to another company.
