Colloquio
I applied via online. A recruiter replied back asking me to answer 3 questions. She was very welcoming and gave me a good first impression. After I sent in my response, we schedule a phone screening. I was pumped for the next steps and liked what I saw from what I researched. Everything seemed great until the phone screening. I tried to make the interview more conversational, but he was uninterested in doing so. Felt like a transaction where he asked questions and I answered. Some of the questions dove into the role and gave some great scenarios which I liked, but some questions were not clear and he had to clarify. I did stumble on some of the in depth questions which I should have done more of my due diligence. When I asked my questions towards the end, he had a little smirk every time he answered, which gave me the impression that he wasn't taking it seriously. It felt like the interviewer was rushing to get off the phone. I highly doubt I got to the second round, and even if I did, he was a bad representation of this company, and I would not proceed. I am also assuming that some of the positive reviews were made by employees to inflate their company in a positive manner. I mean, they are posted 3-4 at a time on the same day which is odd.

I found Apptimize on AngelList and was contacted by the CEO. First screen was a set of sales-related questions over email. Next round was a phone screen, and the final round was an on-site with four interviews, with people in a variety of different roles related to sales. The whole process was fairly quick and HR was very responsive. Overall everyone was super nice, and I was able to gain valuable insight into the role and company as well.

There was two stages in the interview process for Apptimize. The first stage was a phone screen with the person who would be my direct manager. This interview was a little more intense than your typical phone screen. They told me on the spot that they would like to schedule me for an onsite interview. The onsite interview was compromised of four 30 minute interviews with different sales execs and the CEO. HR was great throughout this whole process and everyone was very welcoming.
