3 Stages, Two personal and one challenge. First interview formal background on myself, academics and experience. Then one week to complete challenge. Then final stage interview on review of challenge and knowledge of software development.

I was pleased with how quickly the recruiter responded to my application as some of my other applications took weeks/months for a reply. The first stage of the process consisted of a 40 minute logic test followed by an interview with two staff members. The interviewers where friendly and give me a good overview of company operations. That evening I was then contacted by the recruiter and given some programming exercises to carry out as well as being invited back the next week for further interviews with senior staff and to go over the exercise answers I submitted. In the interviews I was asked about kdb+ and my background. Both interviews where extremely informative and gave me a great idea of what a career in AquaQ would entail and what the working environment was like. The process took a week and a half from the initial interview to the final assessment but the recruitment team kept me informed throughout every stage. Although I had another offer at the time, I was convinced after the first interview that this was the place I would prefer to work. Hints/tips: - research the company thoroughly beforehand as the will ask about you're knowledge of kdb+/q and your financial awareness. -expect puzzle questions like "How many golf balls can fit in a double decker bus?"
