There was a problem that was given earlier for which I needed to write a program and submit the solution before the interview. Then there was a 1 hour interview in which we discussed the solution to the problem provided earlier, mast experiences and how I could use them to solve future problems of the nature expected at the job.

Here we discussed the solution to the problem and looked over the code I had written and about my past experiences and the tasks to expect as part of this job and how we may go about solving them.
The interview happened through a zoom call, where the professor asked me about my previous work experiences and relevant skills. Then, he asked me some HR questions, if I had previous grading experience or not, and how much salary I would be getting.
