I am pursuing my PhD thesis in Microelectronics and I have applied for few positions in ARM starting from design engineer, system modelling etc. I had 4 years of industry experience in design verification. All my applications were rejected from those positions. So, I finally decided to apply for the verification positions. Finally I received a call from ARM, Lund. My interview was scheduled with Manjiri Deolalikar, Hardware Verification Team Lead and Ola Nording- Senior Engineer- Digital Hardware Design. Most of the questions were asked by Ms Deolalikar whereas Mr. Nording was interested about the non-technical questions as in how I see myself in the team and all. Among the technical questions, it was mostly related to coding. I was not asked anything about my research work.

It went on for 45min. It was fairly easy. Focused on the basics of SV and UVM. It was directly with the hiring manager. They seemed open and genuinely a good interview experience
