Started with a phone call with the recruiter. It went well enough that I came in for an in-person interview. I had mixed feelings about that interview and felt perhaps it wasnt a good fit. They said they would be back in touch soon.
I waiting more than a week, no email, no phone call, nothing at all. I sent a follow up email to the same recruiter...weeks have gone by and still no email, no call, nothing at all. I understand if im not the right fit, I felt that too, but common professionalism would at the VERY least dictate a form "No thanks" email to be sent. The utter lack of the most basic common courtesy does confirm my gut feelings during the interview process, but still, how hard is it really to send someone, especially someone that took the time to come out in person, a final email. Why leave people hanging? It's just rude.
