I actually got an phone call from the design director regarding possibility of extending an offer but wasn't sure about my desired salary. I told them my pay grade and ended up with a rejection letter about how it wouldn't make sense for them to even make an offer to me. In that regards, I'm wondering how low they have set the bar for a product designer 😬. On top of that, for a company that's been around for 10 years... I'm surprised how there's no HR process in place to avoid something like this.
