Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Arup (Londra, Inghilterra) nel mese di mar 2016
Colloquio
Applied online in November with CV and online questions. Quite a large workload to write those questions. Took them 3 and a half months to reply.
Scheduled my interview on a Tuesday but later received a call to reschedule which totally messed up my plans. the rescheduled interview happened on a Friday after an important seminar at my school. I waited at the front desk for more than 15 minutes.
Later another candidate and I were invited for written exercise, mainly just talking points for the later interview. Not hard at all, really basic. The conversation during the interview, however, was really just me talking which i felt really exhausted. One of the two interviewers actually gave me some feedback on what kind of answers they had received and what more could be added to my answer. that was quite helpful.
The other interviewer was a lady, namely the head of the transport modelling team. I caught her zoning out more than three times which got me a bit annoyed at the moment. Further, the other lady intentionally writing down things that would reflect badly on me rather than general note taking about the key points I said. (That moment I knew, I do not want to work as part of her team!)
The director of the department came in later. said hello, asked a few questions, a bit of overlapping with our previous discussion. He is a really good communicator and I enjoyed talking with him. One of the questions he asked was quite hard and I could not think of good answers. I got out of the interview room later and met with the HR people. She explained the package and being quite informative but maybe too much information at this stage considering the fact that I was not given an offer.
I have asked for feedback from Arup after the interview and it has been more than a month and their response was they have sick staff and a lot of feedback to give.
Domande di colloquio [1]
Domanda 1
engineering solutions and outcome to consider for local, city, regional, national transport network.
1 hour long interview, and asking a lot of behavioural questions. Ask you what you learned through experiences. They also give insight into how the job environments will be and how the role is like.
Online application including CV. Online platform testing and company questions. Followed by an online Assessment Centre, which lasted a full day and included interview and activities. Offer (via Phone call) followed a day later.
This is honestly the worst experience I have ever had with any company ever, no fault with the company but their hr team needs to get fired immediately.
They completely wronged me last year for my internship applications and now they did the same for the graduate.
Asked for feedback (which they offered in an email) about 5 times and was repeatedly ignored.
