Was approached via an agency in 2001; had an interview with two technical directors, who asked detailed questions about my background and experience. It was a friendly interview, and was focused on my job role as well as values. They were keen to understand why I wanted to leave my current job in academia and join a consultancy firm, where the pace of work is faster and more challenging.

It was a face to face meeting with the director and department lead. The meeting was about an hour long. It was not a very formal interview but more of a casual meeting for us to get to know each other mutually.

Zuerst hatte ich ein freundliches Telefonat mit HR. Anschließend wurde ein Video Call mit zwei Mitarbeitern vereinbart. Neben der Prüfung der fachlichen Qualifikation und des Werdegangs war es ein angenehmes gegenseitiges Kennenlernen. Beim dritten Gespräch war ich vor Ort und lernte drei weitere Kollegen kennen. Es ging vor allem um Art und Umfang der bisher durchgeführten Leistungen und der Perspektive im Unternehmen.

Phone interview followed by a panel internet meeting with two offices. This was followed by a final face to face panel meeting with senior leadership in the office. There was about a week lag between each phase.
