Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Asana (San Francisco, CA)
Colloquio
Recruiter had been blowing up my email for months to get a call and timing was never right on my end. Finally booked a call for initial phone screen. He gets the time mixed up and had to reschedule for later in the day. Recruiter sounded extremely scripted and monotone, didn't seem interested or engaged at all in the conversation. Went over experience and goals and what they did. Could not even tell me how Asana differentiated themselves from their competitors. Said he thought I'd be a fit an next step would be to schedule a call with a manager. Never heard back and honestly probably would not have been interested in taking it further based on first impressions. Probably dodged a bullet here.
We appreciate you sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that your experience was not of the quality you expected, however this is helpful feedback for our team.

Took almost 6 months and was very sloppy with many hiccups along the way. The recruiter was from an external company and was very bad at his job. There would be constant periods of no communication going on for weeks at times.

Tell me about a time when you had an unhappy customer. How did you solve it.
Got contacted by the headhunter. Passed the first round. Got to the second which was not with the Sales Manager of the department I was interviewed for. The questions were mainly focused on my current processes and not my sales approach. Never got any further feedback even after contacting both of them directly.

I recently interviewed with Asana and, unfortunately, found the experience to be underwhelming. The interview process felt very scripted—each interviewer seemed to be reading questions directly off a screen, leaving little room for organic conversation or follow-up. Despite spending over three hours in one day on calls and preparing a detailed deal analysis presentation, I was not provided any feedback when they decided not to move forward.
One particularly disappointing moment was with a female leader on the emerging enterprise team who opened the call by saying she was “too busy” for the interview. From the outset, it felt like she didn’t want to be there, which made for an uncomfortable and disengaging interaction.
Overall, I’d recommend Asana re-evaluate their interview process to be more candidate-friendly. A more conversational approach, providing time for questions, and offering post-interview feedback would go a long way in creating a better experience. As it stands, I left the process feeling confused, undervalued, and disappointed.
