      Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Ascend Performance Materials (Houston, TX) nel mese di mar 2019

      Colloquio

      Phone screen with HR, then a phone screen with the hiring manager who decided to bring me in for a grueling in-person interview process. 5 people, 4 hours and 1 conference room. There were no breaks and I found it a challenge to be "on" for such an extended period of time. However I can appreciate the opportunity to get it over in one fell swoop rather than being called in for a subsequent interview. Ultimately I was not offered the position and when I asked the recruiter for feedback I was shocked to find out that the first person who interviewed me said I was late. I pride myself on being timely and was in fact 10 minutes early. While waiting for my handler I excused myself to the restroom. I'm assuming that once I returned is when the receptionist decided to call someone down and they'd assumed Id just made it. What's more concerning is that all someone had to do was view the sign-in sheet which is time stamped and they would have saw that I was early. But I guess due diligence is too much effort. I know that something like being late for a job interview can completely taint the entire process. So through no fault of my own I likely started out in the negative due to an assumption someone made based off nothing more than conjecture. After learning this I was happy I didn't get an offer because it speaks to the culture of their leadership.
