The interview process for my department was quite comforting. I was applying for an in-house position, and was already familiar with the department manager. I had already proven myself in the capacity of work that I was administered. As I was interviewing with the department manager, it was not at all an intimidating experience. Based on my familiarity with the position I was applying for, the responses to the DM's questions came with ease. In fact, a large percentage of current Assurant employees apply for higher positions within the company after their probationary periods.
