Began with a standard online form such as grades, work experience etc. The next stage was a set of psychometric tests including numerical, logical and verbal reasoning that is common with most online assessments. After that I had a telephone interview with a person from HR which was very informal. we talked about what I expected from the job and why I had chosen ATKINS plus some competency questions. HR was just trying to find out how motivated and committed I was for the job. Final stage was the assessment day at ATKINS in Bristol. Began with a technical interview where I was asked about some basic 1st and 2nd year engineering concepts so read up but its not that gruelling, the interviewer was mostly looking to see how I approached each question rather than being able to answer everything straight up. Then he went over some competency based questions such as "when did you show a clear sustainable idea/ objective" and "when you knew you had a better solution to a problem than your superior, what did you do". In the afternoon it was group based exercises where we had to analyse a booklet and decide which town was greatest need of engineering aid based on certain factors then build a case.
