Colloquio
I received an email the day after I applied asking if I would attend a phone interview. Following an email back we confirmed a day and time for a phone interview and I confirmed my phone number. I waited for someone to call but the call never came. I reached out to the recruiter on email several times over the next 2 weeks, called the office and left messages (no one answers the phone!). To my disappointment, about 2 weeks after I applied I received a thanks but no thanks email which looked pretty generic like I was part of the applicants that didn't meet the shortlist.
Atlassian looks like a great company but that was the poorest [interview?] process I've been through, if I can call it that. More so than not responding to a candidate, it is disrespectful and rude to not even call through for a phone screen and provide no explanation. I would have understood if someone called to apologise but I didn't even get that courtesy. I hope that the recruitment team or management sees this to ensure this doesn't happen again in what looks to be a really great company at face value.

Had the most terrible interview process at Atlassian at the end of last year, and I know a friend who has had the same in the HR function.
I had to have 5 interviews (!) and it took over 2 months. Across time zones (which is totally fine as I know it’s a global company) - but making yourself available early on a weekend and then not receiving feedback for a number of weeks to me, is unacceptable. I was also referred for the job and had to chase the recruiter a number of times for any kind of update/feedback on next steps.
In the end - I didn’t get the job because apparently the JD had changed? No one informed me of that or assessed me on the areas that were relevant to the JD change. Ultimately - LinkedIn has told me that the JD didn’t change - they just wanted someone younger.
I just can’t believe that a hr function cannot provide feedback or treat a hr candidate appropriately. Says everything in my opinion.

There wasn’t one. But there was a data breach on the day they sent me a form letter about how my 20 years’ worth of HR experience didn’t make me qualified to work with them I dodged a bullet, it seems. You should too.

Atlassian was interested in my candidacy, however, pushed for my current compensation during the second phone interview (which is illegal in California) and rejected me backed on my current compensation.
Good job pitching the product and seems to have flexibility. Product not the best in the market, potentially too focused hiring for heads before setting correct structure first (which is concerning)
