Applied online and the HR makes a call to check through the resume. She sets up a slot for an in person interview. Interview was basically based on questions pertaining to Regression, Classification and I did get a response from the interviewer that I've done well and I would be called for the next round. I got the response by the end of the round that I should be able to hear back from the HR team within 2 days. Guess what ? I didn't hear from them after the positive review by the interviewer himself. I waited for a few days and then followed up with an email to the HR asking if there is any update regarding my application. I get a rejection mail from the HR, which completely contradicts what the interviewer had told me during the discussion. Well, I understand that you have the complete right to choose candidates during the interview but at least have some respect for the candidate's time and PLEASE don't mis-direct. The impression I have about your company now is that you guys say something and do something else. I'm glad I witnessed this before being a part of your firm, which of course I would never like to be. Thanks but no thanks.
