Colloquio
The interview was done in just a single day. I met about half a dozen engineers and executives. Overall, it went smooth. The questions were not difficult to answer.

Colloquio
They started with a telephone interview where another developer probed my programming experience and knowledge. He must have been satisfied because they flew me in for a full day of 1:1 interviews with programmers, managers, and HR. The hiring manager was not present that day so about a month later they brought me back for another half day of interview. That half day went very smoothly and it finished with a job offer.

They asked many questions about various problems faced in programming. Some of the questions were very esoteric and it was clear they wanted to evaluate your problem solving skills, rather than you knowing the right answer.
It started with a phone screen which went over my experience and C++/Windows skills. It finished with being flown in, interviewed for about 3 hours, and realizing I really wanted to work here and I really liked the people.

I was thrown by having to prepare a PowerPoint summarizing my experience, but in retrospect, I found this to be a really good way to get the interview started. I know engineers hate sales and this involved selling myself, but having been on the other side a few times now, I really like it. Technical skills matter, yes, but communication skills are essential.
