Had two rounds focused on basic CV and ML Pythonic operations. Both interviewers were polite, respectful, and technically sound, which made the process engaging and positive at first. However, after being told I would move forward, the company went completely silent for over three weeks despite multiple follow-ups, only to send a vague rejection citing a “change in short-term goals.” The silence, followed by a generic excuse, showed a serious lack of integrity and accountability in how candidates are treated. It reflected a disorganized and indifferent hiring culture where communication stops once internal priorities shift.

I got an email from HR that they want to move forward for the interview process. I had applied for MLE and Senior MLE at AutoX or Tensor Auto. After scheduling 1st round with coder pad link (I was not informed on what the interview will be focused on and I was not even informed about number of rounds I will have for this role) I cleared 1st round which was coding neural network and transformer block and deep tech Q&A, I was moved forward with 2nd round and it was again coding with matrix problem (not Leetcode), I cleared 2nd round. Then i was moved forward for 3rd round with Engineering Manager, again it was coding like conv2d and some follow up coding. I got the output as required and it went good . But I was rejected reasoning due to short term goal of the team they did not move forward with my application. Which was very surprising outcome and I wasn't expecting this. But the interviewers were really helpful and very comfortable.
