Their HR person reached out to me about the position on LinkedIn. Once I confirmed interest, we spoke by phone to see if it was mutually a good fit. I was then invited to take an Assessment Test: the test is split between a Cognitive portion and a Personality portion. It's timed and video recorded. The cognitive portion is highly analytical and requires study prep to perform at your peak. You're told the main goal is to complete the test within the time limit (as opposed to get as many answers correct as possible). I spent a significant amount of time preparing and taking the test, and was left with a very poor impression of the company when they failed to close the loop with me afterwards. My advice to Automated Insights: Don't ask your candidates to take you seriously enough to take an IQ exam, if you're not going to have the courtesy to take them seriously enough to send a follow-up rejection letter.
