1. CEO asked for CV and portfolio.
2. Sent his calendly link so you can book in an interview slot.
3. The interview was not personal. Although you'll see each other over Zoom, it felt so stiff and corporate, as if you'd only be a small cog in a machine.
4. He asked about who you are and what you do and lastly...
5. Practical test.
It's for a marketing copywriting role but the test is content optimization using SEO Surfer.
He'll give you the link and for 20 minutes, you gotta optimize the content.
No research involved (which is the first must-have step for us copywriters)...
...and I don't have accounting background so it's better if you know accounting stuff (cause autymate is an integration platform for accounting tools).
If you're focused on writing copy and marketing, you might not be well-accustomed to tools.
And that's okay. Not your fault.
I myself write FB ads copy and landing page copy but I don't know how to run ads myself (targeting, budget and all those stuff) nor design landing pages.
So don't beat yourself up.
CEO is quite polite. I wasn't qualified because he was looking for an experienced one.
