Time wasters. Conducted an online interview followed a week later by a face to face interview at their Biggin Hill office. I was asked three generic questions surrounding Part M. Was asked nothing about my my past experiences or motivation for the role. Tried my best to get this information across. In the end this wasn't so much an interview, more of an explanation of the role. Not quite sure why they needed me to drive to their site for this. Tried my best to be engaging. All seemed very positive and received good feedback during the interview. A few days later I was declined the role as they thought I wasn't 'fully committed'. This despite me taking a days leave to drive to their site and explaining to them exactly why I want the role. To be told you're not 'fully committed' when you know yourself you absolutely are is massively frustrating. They then ignored my request for further feedback as to why they thought this way. Very disappointing to be told you're not fully committed to a role you actually are fully committed to, especially when you've taken time out of your life for it. Getting rejected following an interview is absolutely fine, take it on the chin, learn from it and move on. Getting rejected because they've essentially decided for you that you don't really want the role is both bizarre and infuriating. Why did they think I applied for the role?? For a laugh? A good day out? Absolute time wasters. Shameful.
