      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Averon Events (New York, NY) nel mese di ott 2018

      Colloquio

This place is a SHAAMMM. Reminds me a lot of a pyramid scheme. I applied for a "marketing manager" position and found myself on round 2 interview day shadowing someone asking strangers in a subway station for donations. "Marketing manager" meant you'd be asking hundreds of strangers a day for donations, following a script, and expecting only 2 out of 100 people to say yes. First round interview I waited for 45 minutes to get a get 5 minute interview because their were so many other people that got duped into thinking this was a "marketing manager" position as advertised. I interviewed with the head lady here who strung me along on the narrative that I'd be a marketing manager in the area of event marketing, not once mentioning that I'd be basically panhandling pedestrians for donations on behalf of large companies. That night I was invited back for round 2 which would be a "full day getting to know each other better and meet clients/ sit in on client meetings" thats when they slowly lift the veil and explain that everyone starts at the bottom and this is a management training program. Their are 4 very structured tiers at this company. you start asking hundreds of new yorkers in busy areas a day for money, working 9 hour days plus hours on saturday. making about $800 a week if your sales are good. Level 2 your 50% training other people, and 50% asking strangers for money on the street. level 3 your assisting the manager and level 4 u open up ur own one of these pyramid scheme sweatshops duping kids into coming on interviews and then sending them out to the streets. level 4 is the "marketing manager" position everyone thought they were applying for. Thing is, I wouldnt even want THAT job, because it has nothing to do with event marketing. ur just a cog in a pyramid scheme.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

day 1: what animal would you be, why? (ps the interview doesnt matter they take ANYONE) day 2: they make u write a business plan for any product/service of your choice and then take a picture of it and send it to their boss. at this point i'm just hoping that lady doesnt rip my idea and wondering why i even tried on that
